Authorities investigating the Oct. 2 crash have indicated that it appears to be tied to street racing. Furthermore, the incident has been described by authorities as appearing to be linked to two other vehicles. This suggests a complex scene involving multiple vehicles, which ultimately led to the tragic outcome. The specific details linking the arrested men to the crash were not provided, but their arrests are directly connected to this deadly event.

The area near the crash site, specifically on the median between Missouri Avenue and West Main Avenue in Bismarck, became the focus of community grief.
