Bismarck residents now have an additional option for custom soda and gourmet popcorn, as a second Fizzly Soda Shop location has officially opened its doors. Situated at 1144 E. Bismarck Expressway, this new establishment is located in south Bismarck, occupying the site that previously housed the Auto Finance Super Center. Its presence adds to the retail offerings along the bustling Expressway corridor, providing increased accessibility for patrons across the community.
Fizzly Soda Shop initially established itself as a distinct and popular local business, first launching in 2019. From its inception, the business "took Bismarck by storm," rapidly becoming a significant draw for local customers. For several years, it has been recognized as a consistent "go-to spot" for individuals craving something both unique and sweet. The shop specializes in custom soda creations and gourmet popcorn, featuring a rotating selection of "delicious rotating flavors" that have contributed to its sustained appeal. The original location of Fizzly Soda Shop continues to operate on Coleman Street, positioned conveniently near the north Cash Wise store.
The strategic decision to expand with a second location stems directly from the establishment's enduring success and consistently "high demand" from its customer base. Following "years of success," the owners articulated their intention to "go bigger," aiming to enhance service capacity and reach a broader segment of the Bismarck population. The announcement of this expansion, made "earlier this summer," generated considerable enthusiasm among local residents who anticipated visiting what they expected to be a "larger, more easily accessible store."
Visible progress at the new site has been noted "over the past few months" by those traveling in south Bismarck. The building underwent a noticeable transformation, including its distinctive hot pink paint, which made the new location easily identifiable. This visual cue signaled the impending opening of the second shop.
Currently, the new Fizzly Soda Shop is fully operational and welcoming customers. While details regarding a formal grand opening celebration have not yet been announced to the public, the "open" sign is prominently displayed. This signifies that customers are welcome to "pour" in and experience the expanded offerings at the new Bismarck Expressway site. This latest development provides more options for residents in Burleigh and Morton counties seeking the shop's unique sweet treats and custom beverages.
