The City of Fargo is set to host a public input meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m., regarding proposed improvements to First Avenue. This open house-style meeting will focus on planned upgrades to First Avenue North, specifically between University Drive and Third Street North in Downtown Fargo. The purpose of these improvements, as stated by the City of Fargo, is to enhance both accessibility and traffic flow in this downtown corridor. Residents and interested parties are invited to attend the meeting at the Commission Chambers within Fargo City Hall, located at 225 Fourth St. N in Fargo.

During the meeting, representatives from the City of Fargo and WSB will be present to engage with attendees. These officials will be available to answer questions and address any concerns raised by the public regarding the project. The proposed work along First Avenue North is intended to address current conditions and prepare the street for future needs, focusing on making it more accessible for all users and improving the movement of vehicles. Further figures and detailed information about the project will be made available for review on the City of Fargo’s website.

For those unable to attend the public meeting in person, the City of Fargo is also accepting written comments. These comments must be postmarked or emailed no later than Nov. 10, 2026. Submissions should include “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24430 & 24431” in the letter heading or email subject line to ensure they are properly directed and considered. Written feedback can be sent to Travis Wieber. The mailing address for physical comments is 4207 28th Ave. S Suite 120, while email submissions can be sent to [email protected].
